I teach how to roast coffee using an air popcorn popper. Having been a coffee enthusiast for may years now I have been really getting into the process of making great coffee. I want to share some of the techniques I have learned with other such enthusiasts. This is not a juggling video so ye be warned. If you’re a coffee fan, you may find it interesting. If you want to comment about the lack of juggling on this video I will then have to assume that you are a belligerent, puny little twerp who has no girlfriend… I’m just sayin’.

I’ve gotten better at roasting coffee in the hot air popper. One of the most important things is to be able to monitor the temperature as you are roasting. I like a lighter Full City roast which you get at about 444 degrees. With this thermal couple I can measure the temperature of the beans as they swirl around, the temp probe moves around with them. I’m sorry you can’t hear what I’m saying in parts of the video, I didn’t realize how much of the popper’s noise the camcorder would pick up.
